Discover effective 21st Century strategies & resources for increasing student engagement and accelerating language acquisition skills.  Digital feedback increases engagement & achievement. Many English language learners struggle to develop reading fluency in their new language. They quickly grow frustrated and disengaged if they do not see progress. When students digitally record their reading practice and play back, they receive immediate feedback. Much like a dancer who uses a mirror to observe and instantly modify movement, a student listens to the voice recording and self-corrects for the next recording. Students love to use iPods for learning, and the instant and personal feedback motivates them to practice until they see improvement.

The growth in reading fluency is documented at double and triple the average growth rate of 5-10 words per minute in a six week period.
