Apple announces a significant update to Final Cut Studio, with more than 100 new features and new versions of Final Cut Pro, Motion, Soundtrack Pro, Color and Compressor. The industry's leading video post-production suite, Final Cut Studio features Final Cut Pro 7 with new versions of ProRes to support virtually any workflow, Easy Export for one-step delivery, and iChat Theater integration for real-time editing collaboration from anywhere in the world. Motion 4 includes enhanced text and 3D tools that make it easy to create everything from basic titles to stunning motion graphics, and Soundtrack Pro 3 features voice-level match and dozens of new multitrack editing tools to streamline audio post-production. Color 1.5 includes wider format support and improved integration with Final Cut Pro, and Compressor 3.5 adds new features designed to simplify and speed up digital delivery.

Apple announced Final Cut Server 1.5, which frees up even more time for creative work, with new features that make it exceptionally flexible and easy to use. Final Cut Server can manage thousands of assets, execute dozens of routine production tasks, and keep every member of your team in sync—all while you continue working. It now features deeper integration with Final Cut Pro, including support for the efficient new Apple ProRes 422 (Proxy). Check out the project, edit with proxies on a MacBook Pro, and check the project back in for instant relinking to the original source. Final Cut Server 1.5 also features image sequence support, new production hierarchies, and faster searches. Final Cut Server 1.5 is now available.

Apple announced the new Logic Studio, a huge leap forward for guitar players, live performers, and all musicians who write, record, edit, and mix their own music. New Amp Designer and Pedalboard plug-ins provide 25 amp models and 30 stompbox pedals to create both legendary and modern guitar tones. This version introduces Flex Time, a collection of tools that make it easy to manipulate the timing and tempo of recorded audio. Drum Replacer lets users replace or double less-than-perfect drum tracks in just a few clicks and Selective Track Import makes it easy to transfer setups and track content between projects. You also get Mainstage 2 with Loopback and Playback, two new plug-ins that let you record loops and trigger backing tracks live. The addition of the Voices Jam Pack means Logic Studio users now get the complete Jam Pack collection.
