Are you responsible for the care and feed of hundreds of Macs on a LAUSD campus? Since Apple's transition to Intel processors we've been providing restoration through the local recovery partition. For various reasons some customers have requested copies of the "LAUSD Image" to better streamline their on campus support. Below is a matrix of the various LAUSD Field Disks that are in use to actively support LAUSD computers. If you are unaware of the specific model of Apple product that you have, consider verifying it through AppleCare.
